Mart studied sociology and worked as a teacher and counselor in senior vocational education. Before 1997 he worked almost 10 years as project leader and consultant in healthcare.

Pim Stafleu (1956)

Pim studied drama and psychology. Before 1997 he worked over a number of years as a teacher, theatrical producer and clinical psychologist. Pim was chair of Group Relations Nederland from 2006-2010.

Mart and Pim got to know each other in 1995 and 1996 because of their participation in a post-academic programme of IOD (International Association for Organisational and Social Development). Both have extensive consultancy experience, nationally and internationally, in both private and public sector organisations.

Mart and Pim regularly participate in conferences and educational programmes, at home and abroad. They are members of OPUS -an organisation for promoting understanding of society- and founding members of Worknet International, a professional network on experiential learning.
