We work on the basis of asking questions, suspending judgement and valuing emotions

The aim of VECU’s first conversation with a client is to identify and clarify the client’s main questions. Since these are usually complex problems of the organisation, both VECU consultants will take part in this session.

We consider not-knowing, asking questions, suspending judgement and avoiding quick conclusions as the strength of our exploration. The way we work does not only reveal the tangible aspects of the problem as presented, but also its underlying, mostly hidden and unconscious aspects.

Emotions are also part of our exploration because they provide additional information about the situation and its context. VECU looks at an organisation as a whole, that is a system in which subsystems affect one another mutually across boundaries.

Our approach helps to create a multiple view of the matter, in which rational as well as emotional aspects are taken into consideration and organisational problems are put in context. We believe this is the distinctive aspect of VECU’s approach, that generates added value for our clients.
